How it all started
This business started with a vision I’d been carrying for 15 years—to open a coworking space that served specialty coffee and created real community.
In 2015 I signed the lease and launched the space. No investors. No perfect timing. Just a lot of grit and a deep belief in what I was building.
Our space had a self-service push-button coffee bar (not ideal, but a lot less expensive than building out an espresso bar). I wanted to provide high level specialty coffee but had NO money to invest in proper equipment. So, I used my bootstrapping skills and asked the landlord if we could “borrow” it. He said yes.

The Journey
While I (Angela) was busy running the coworking center and networking, Scott and his mad scientist skills got working on how to operate the espresso machine - the grind, the temp, the filtered water, the type of bean and roast - all of it.

We opened the coffee house to the public, hoping it would drive traffic to the coworking and meeting space. But the coffee quickly became the heart of the business. The only problem? It was inside an office building with not-so-great parking.
Then, on a trip to visit my daughter in Washington State, I noticed two-sided coffee stands on every other block. Back home in Washington, Missouri, there were no drive-thru coffee shops.
So, we leaned into the coffee and opened our first drive-thru on a gravel lot with a little 8x16-foot trailer, a solid work ethic, and a whole lot of faith.

Today, we run a growing company with multiple locations, our own roasting operation, and a team that shows up every day to serve customers with a happy hustle and a sense of purpose. Still woman-owned, faithfully led, and family-run. We are figuring it out as we go—but we’re doing it with heart and hustle.
